Post-Wedding Thoughts

October 15, 2009 2:53 pm

Though it’s hard to believe, my wedding day is over! I am married – something my friends continue to inform me of. (I think they are trying to shock me or something!)

Ten Days and Counting

September 30, 2009 8:44 pm

Well, the big day is getting closer and closer! It’s amazing to me that I’ve been planning for over a year and that all of my effort will soon come together. I’m more than extremely busy with last minute planning, so this post might be somewhat brief. I’ll try to do a few more updates before the 10th with any news or issues that come up.

One More Month

September 11, 2009 9:20 am

Today is September 10th and this means one very important thing – I will be married to Dan one month from today. Last Saturday, as Dan and I continued to unpack boxes and wrestle with empty totes in our new apartment, I looked up and said, “Do you know what today is?” He thought for a moment and confessed he had no idea. It was one year from the day that he proposed to me.

Few Updates

August 27, 2009 3:23 pm

This will be a very, very short post. The reason being: I am in the middle of a move! The last couple weeks have been crazy. After writing out thank you cards for my showers, packing, and meeting with my vendors, I have almost no time to sit down and do anything.

Two Left Feet

August 6, 2009 4:58 pm

As the wedding gets closer and closer, I am starting to get very worried about the little things. Last night, I struggled through my third consecutive, unsatisfying sleep. I lay there, thinking about all of the little things that we have yet to consider. Sure, all of the major items have been checked off of my list. We now even have a stable reception arena.

Revisiting the First Step

July 19, 2009 3:13 pm

After Dan proposed in September, the first item on our wedding planning agenda was finding a venue for the reception. Rereading my blogs, I was reminded of my nervous state after hearing that our first choice was already booked for every Saturday in October. I knew we did not have much time to waste, so within weeks we had chosen the Statler and Park Lane catering.

A Tough Decision

July 5, 2009 9:14 pm

The last couple weeks have found me doing some serious soul searching. It felt like every time I turned around someone was telling me about the latest news – well, actually the latest disaster, to be more accurate – that was taking place at the Statler.

Making a Home Together

June 15, 2009 3:27 pm

As I detailed in my last post, Dan and I have found somewhere that we would like to live after we are married. It was a really exciting day for both of us. I immediately started picturing my living room, filled with family and friends. I imagined our first cookout and thought about how happy I would be on even the quietest nights in.

Post-Wedding Plans

May 31, 2009 8:02 pm

After all the worrying that Dan and I have been doing lately, we actually decided to take a short break from the planning (which is why I haven’t updated anything in a few weeks). Every moment of every weekend has been filled with appointments, budgeting, and discussions focused on our October wedding.

Statler Saga

May 15, 2009 12:35 pm

I’m feeling much better about things over at the Statler. Dan and I began looking at other venues, hoping to get that “feeling” again. Whenever we found a place that we liked and compared the two, the Statler and Park Lane Catering always came out on top.
