ULTIMATE WEDDING GIVEAWAY OFFICIAL RULES
1. ELIGIBILITY. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. This contest is free to enter and open to any New York State resident 18 years of age or older, except employees of The Buffalo News, The Talking Phone Book, associated sponsors and agencies, their assignees, licensees, and members of their immediate families living in the same household. Contest must be entered online. Offer void where prohibited by law.
2. HOW TO ENTER. Visit www.BuffaloBrides.com and click on the Ultimate Wedding Giveaway logo. Upload a photo of yourself with your fiancé (photo to include one couple only), and fill out the “How We Met” story (suggested length of story is 50 words or less). Complete the entry process (photo upload and story) by February 21, 2010 at midnight. One entry per couple allowed. Additional entries will not be accepted.
3. VOTING. The voting process will begin February 22 at 12:01 a.m. and will continue through March 7, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. A voting individual may vote no more than ten times per day. Votes will be monitored for signs of unfair play. Votes must come directly from a click on the voting page. Votes generated remotely or by automated processes are prohibited and will not be counted. Voting links may not be posted outside of BuffaloBrides.com. Deceit (such as mislabeling a link or form) may not be used to garner votes. Voters may not be provided with any reward, benefit or incentive of any kind for their vote.
4. ENTRY RULES AND DISCLAIMERS: The Buffalo News, The Talking Phone Book, associated sponsors, their agencies, assignees, and licensees are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, miscommunications, failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmissions or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical or electronic, including without limitation the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online, or for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, destroyed, delayed, stolen, misdirected or illegible entries. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of The Buffalo News and The Talking Phone Book and will not be returned. In case of dispute as to identity of a winner, The Buffalo News, in its sole and exclusive discretion, shall determine the winners.
5. HOW PRIZES ARE AWARDED: A total of four prizes will be awarded as part of the Ultimate Wedding Giveaway and all semi-finalists for this contest will be notified no later than March 11, 2010. Semi-finalists will be invited to a special reception on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Walden Galleria Mall, in front of Macy’s Department Store, where all winners will be announced. The couple that The News determines to have received the most votes during the contest period shall be named the grand prize winner and shall receive the Ultimate Wedding Package with an approximate value of $25,000. The couple receiving the second highest number of votes shall be named the first runner-up and will receive a prize package with an approximate value of $4,500. These prizes include Antonio’s Banquet Ctr ($1,000 value), Buffalo Wholesale Jewelers Inc. ($500 value), Creative Photography ($1,500 value), Crowne Plaza ($200 value), Imagine Salon ($250 value), Kalu Salon & Day Spa ($250 value), Online Limousine ($800 value). The couple receiving the third highest number of votes shall be named the second runner up and will receive a prize package with an approximate value of $2,500. These prizes include Accent Photography ($300 value), Advantage Limousine (4hrs service), Mills Jewelers ($500 vlaue), The Mansion on Delaware ($250 value). The couple receiving the fourth highest number of votes shall be named the third runner up and shall receive a prize package with an approximate value of $1,025. These prizes include Embassy Suites ($375 vlaue), Ettore-Winter Photography ($150 vlaue), Status Limousine ($500 value). Some restrictions may apply. Prizes can only be used for the contestants’ wedding.
6. PRIZE ACCEPTANCE. Winners may elect to receive the entire prize package as awarded or components thereof, however, no cash or substitutions shall be made for prizes not taken. Also, prizes are non-transferrable. Contest organizers reserve the right to award a prize of equal or greater value in the event one of the prizes is unavailable at the time of redemption. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner(s) and the winner(s) must sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability to become eligible to accept the prize package. Prizes must be redeemed no later than. Winners agree to allow use of their name, address and photo for publicity without further compensation. Contest organizers and sponsors are not responsible for any damages incurred by a contestant as a result of winning or participating.
7. TAXES. This contest is subject to all federal, state and local regulations and is void where restricted or prohibited by law. All taxes, title, registrations, releases and insurance owed in connection with any prizes taken will be the sole responsibility of the prize winners. A prize value of $600 or more requires that a W-9 form be completed before the prize package
8. TERMINATION. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify a contestant for any violations of these rules, or for any tampering or attempt to tamper with the results, processes or participants of the contest. Sponsor may cancel, terminate, or suspend this contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, including the use of involuntary voting mechanisms or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor(s) corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the contest. In such event, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select the winner by random drawing from all eligible entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination or suspension.
9. The decisions of the contest organizers are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment.
10. By entering this contest, you acknowledge that you have read and that you accept these rules and agree to be bound by them.
